Wallpaper wonderland

This Wallpaper Wonderland project, a thoughtful collaboration with Bargas Construction and Design, is a celebration of personal style. The goal was to create a kitchen and bath remodel that confidently balances bold, artistic expression with the timeless elegance of classic, functional cabinetry. The challenge with such expressive design elements is ensuring they feel energetic and inspiring, not overwhelming. Our role was to provide a calm, sophisticated foundation with custom millwork that would ground these expressive elements and create a perfectly harmonious living space. This careful interplay ensures the home feels both vibrant and serene, a space where personality shines without sacrificing tranquility.

The heart of the home, the kitchen, showcases this balance beautifully. To complement the striking blue and white statement wallpaper, we crafted custom perimeter cabinetry in a soft, classic white. This choice was deliberate, creating a canvas that reflects natural light and prevents the statement wallpaper from overpowering the space. The clean lines of the inset shaker-style doors, a testament to precision craftsmanship that offers enduring appeal, include a seamlessly integrated panel-ready refrigerator, which allows the appliance to disappear into the wall of cabinetry for a truly high-end look. At the center of it all, a large island in a deep navy blue acts as a grounding anchor for the entire room, providing a substantial, functional hub for meal preparation and social gatherings. Its rich color not only echoes the wallpaper's palette but also adds a layer of sophisticated depth. Warm brass hardware serves as a unifying element, acting as the perfect finishing touch that ties the warm and cool tones together with a touch of timeless sophistication.

This commitment to custom solutions extends into the jewel-box powder room. Here, a different wallpaper provides a unique yet connected aesthetic. We designed and built a sleek, modern floating vanity in a coordinating shade of blue. The custom color was mixed specifically to harmonize with the powder room's unique wallpaper, a level of detail only achievable through bespoke cabinetry. Its minimalist form provides a striking contrast to the intricate pattern behind it, proving how versatile custom cabinetry can be in achieving a specific design vision. The floating design also enhances the sense of space in the compact room, making it feel open and uncluttered. From the classic elegance of the kitchen to the modern touch in the bath, every piece was meticulously crafted in our Bridgeport, CT workshop to create a home that is both cohesive and full of personality. It demonstrates how custom cabinetry is not just about storage, but about creating the perfect, foundational pieces that allow a homeowner's unique story and style to take center stage.
